Look at Lunchtime

On the third Thursday of the month, a member of the Sheldon Museum of Art staff or University of Nebraska faculty leads a 15-minute dialogue about an artwork on view in the museum. This month Jess Rosenthal, Sheldon’s assistant curator of education, will facilitate a discussion of “The Kitchen Table Series” by Carrie Mae Weems. Admission is free.

First Friday in Four Courses: Main Course

Friday, April 5, 2019 - 5:00pm to 7:00pm

Sheldon is serving four “courses” of First Friday programming in conjunction with the exhibition “Table Manners: Art and Food.” This month, taste a delicious menu designed and prepared by students in the Hospitality, Restaurant and Tourism Management program and inspired by still life artworks currently on view in the museum. Admission is free.

Sheldon is serving four “courses” of First Friday programming in conjunction with the exhibition “Table Manners: Art and Food.” This month, indulge your sweet tooth with ice cream from the University of Nebraska Dairy Store and sample honey from the Bee Lab. And if snacking on sugar isn’t your thing, make a piece of cake you can send through the mail. Admission is free.
