Bernard Rosenberg Lecture: Juliet Sperling

Art historian Juliet Sperling's Bernard Rosenberg Lecture explores the surprising visual strategies of nineteenth-century medical textbooks, from layered anatomical illustrations to interactive paper bodies. Examining intersections of gender, touch, and representation, this lecture offers perspectives on how knowledge and bodies were made visible and touchable. 

Following the lecture, stay for a reception sponsored by University of Nebraska's Nineteenth-Century Studies program.
