Celebrating 50 Years of Nebraska's 500-Mile Sculpture Garden
Tuesday, June 30, 2026 - 5:30PM to 06:30PM Sheldon Museum of ArtJoin us for a special evening celebrating the 50th anniversary of Nebraska's iconic I-80 Bicentennial Sculpture Project. A part of Nebraska’s America250 celebrations, this panel discussion will explore the vision behind the original Bicentennial Sculpture Project, the stories of the artists and advocates involved, and the ongoing effort to protect these works along Interstate 80.
Panelists for this event include John Raimondi, Sculptor Artist, Erma’s Desire; Art Thompson, Director, I-80 Bicentennial Sculpture Project; Dan Worth, Committee to Preserve the I-80 Bicentennial Sculptures; Karen Janovy Former Sheldon Museum Education Director and collaborator of project visionary, Norman Geske.
