This exhibition explores the multifaceted role of typography in visual culture. From printed ephemera to fine art, Characters Through Time highlights typography’s significance as both a functional tool and an expressive medium with cultural and historical narratives.

University of Nebraska–Lincoln students in a typography class taught by Stacy Asher, associate professor of art, organized this exhibition.
