Lago is a series of color photographs of the California desert near the Salton Sea made between 2011 and 2014 by Oregon-based artist Ron Jude. Returning to the landscape of his childhood as if a detective in search of clues to his own identity, Jude seeks to reconcile the vagaries of memory with a human need to create a narrative based on lived experience.
