Sara Jimenez’s work materializes invisible histories and reflects a kaleidoscopic of connections to her ancestors and their land. Working across installation, sculpture, collage, and performance, she creates visual metaphors through fantastical environments and otherworldly, biomorphic forms. Her research and inspiration are rooted in learning from the landscapes and narratives of her genealogical heritage in Southeast Asia, the Pacific, and the ancient UK.
