Kurt Andersen

Thursday, September 24, 2026 - 5:30PM to 07:00PM

Originally from Omaha, Kurt Andersen has been documenting arts, culture, and politics in New York City for decades. In the spring 2026 issue of Prairie Schooner, Andersen wrote about Edward Hopper’s ROOM IN NEW YORK, the iconic NYC painting by Edward Hopper in the Sheldon’s permanent collection. He will discuss the essay, and introduce his latest novel, THE BREAKUP, which is set in 2045, following the collapse of a marriage on a road trip through a strange, uncertain new American landscape, transformed by both terrorist uprising and technology.
