As a gesture of appreciation, in a year of budget constraints and no salary increases, the University of Nebraska System is giving employees on all its campuses two additional days of paid leave. The first is July 3 in advance of the national celebration of Independence Day. So that all Sheldon employees may have leave for the holiday, the museum will be closed July 3 and 4, 2025.

The museum will be open Saturday, July 5, from 10 AM to 5 PM and Sunday, July 6, from noon to 5 PM.
