Teach-in: The Myth of the American Dream

Gabriel Bruguier, assistant professor and research specialist librarian at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Libraries, leads a teach-in examining the myth of the American dream.

This teach-in is an interactive, multidisciplinary engagement with artist Nicholas Galanin's work "The American Dream is Alie and Well," which is featured in the exhibition "Hyphen American: Intersections of Identity."

This teach-in is free and open to individuals 16 years and older. Space is limited, and registration is encouraged

About Gabriel Bruguier

Gabriel Bruguier is an assistant professor and teaching and learning librarian at the University of Nebraska Libraries. He is an enrolled member of the Yankton Sioux Tribe and grew up in Vermillion and Sisseton, South Dakota. He holds MA and PhD degrees in philosophy from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a BA in philosophy from the University of Minnesota, Morris, and a Licentiate in International Relations from the Universidad de las Americas-Puebla. He is the City of Lincoln Commissioner on the Nebraska Commission on Indian Affairs.
