Admission is free.

Museum Hours

Sheldon is open to the public from 10 AM to 4 PM Tuesday through Saturday.

The museum is closed major US holidays and the days of home football games.

Accessibility

There is barrier-free ramp access to the museum from the parking lot on the north side of the building. A wheelchair is available free of charge, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Parking

A limited number of free parking spaces is available in a lot on the north side of the building. When using this lot, be sure to ask a Sheldon visitor services representative for a parking pass to place on your dashboard. A map of visitor parking may be downloaded here or you may link directly to the interactive map for the university here.

Bicycle parking is available near Louis Pound Hall, across the sidewalk on the east side of Sheldon. For additional bicycle parking on campus, there is a tab marked "bike racks" on the university's interactive map.

Tours and Group Visits

Tours of Sheldon Museum of Art and its outdoor sculptures are free and may be tailored to visitors’ interests. Generally, tours must be requested at least two weeks in advance.

For Your Health and Safety

Sheldon adheres to all University of Nebraska–Lincoln guidelines for protecting the health and safety of visitors, volunteers, and staff. As per university guidance, issued May 21, 2021, those who are fully vaccinated from COVID-19 will not be required to wear face masks, indoors or outdoors. The university also no longer requires social distancing and returns to full capacity for its venues.
