Campus Construction
We’re thrilled for our neighbors at the Lied Center for Performing Arts, where a multi-phase construction project has begun. Although 12th and R streets are closed to traffic and parking, Sheldon Museum of Art and the sidewalks leading to the museum remain open.
Accessibility
Barrier-free ramp access to the museum is available from the parking lot on the north side of the building. A wheelchair is available free of charge, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Parking and Transit
North Parking Lot
- A parking lot on the north side of the building offers a limited number of parking spaces that are designated for visitors to the museum. These spaces are free upon validation when you check in for your visit. Please make note of your license plate number as it will be needed for validation. Written directions to this lot can be found by clicking here.
- In accordance with campus policies, vehicles registered with a University of Nebraska–Lincoln parking permit or owned by university affiliated personnel are not allowed to park in a Sheldon visitor parking spot. Additional parking options can be found below.
- Like other parking lots on campus, the north lot is not available on the days of home football games. Click here for information about parking and facilities on football game days.
