Sheldon Museum of Art Main Content

Volunteering at Sheldon offers a variety of benefits, such as a greater understanding of art, pride in helping an institution, and opportunities to share your skills and talents. Please take a moment to consider how you might serve as a volunteer with us.

Docents are dedicated volunteers who give tours and provide information about featured artworks on view. After training in September, each docent gives a school tour one morning per week or two tours every other week, from October through May. Occasionally, tours are requested at other times or during the summer.

For more information or to apply, contact Jackie Spackman, assistant curator of engagement, at or 402-472-2092.
